Founder & Principal
Harvey Sontag
Harvey brings more than forty years of accounting expertise and deep technology insight to PortfolioShop. His drive to automate complex back-office accounting, performance measurement, and systemic risk operations continues to shape how the company works. He has served buy-side and sell-side firms since 1974 and is a graduate of Baruch College.

Eric Sontag
Eric has been instrumental in the development of the PortfolioShop platform alongside Harvey. As the company’s technology lead, he works closely with users and the product team to ensure the platform continues to meet the demands of its client base. Before PortfolioShop, Eric began his career as a business analyst at AIG and Royal Alliance Associates. He is a graduate of Baruch College.

PortfolioShop started as a consulting firm solving back-office problems for investment managers by hand, provider by provider, break by break. That work became the blueprint for the platform.

Shadow accounting, industrialized.
ReconAdvantage grew into the independent shadow book of record for prime brokers, fund administrators, and the managers they serve: daily reconciliation, a 350+ report library, and integrations across the custodial network.
